Neil Craik-Collins started teaching English in 2000, having gained a PGCE from Edinburgh University. He was seconded to The City of Edinburgh Council as the Development Officer for Literacy Across the Curriculum, before returning to take up his permanent post as Curricular Leader of English and Media at Forrester High School. He is now a Depute Head Teacher at Ross High School in Tranent. Neil has just completed his Diploma in Educational Leadership and Management (SQH) at Edinburgh University. He is very interested in marrying educational research with practice in schools, leadership, cooperative learning, ICT, staff development, routes to headship and literacy. He lives in Edinburgh with his wife and two girls.
