Three weeks ago I first circulated notice of this year’s SELMAS Forum. We can accommodate 120 at the event. To date we have 104 booked places, a phenomenal success and a credit to the perceived quality of the event over recent years.
This year’s theme is Transforming teaching, transforming schools: ambition or reality?
The evening will start with a presentation by pupils from Dean Park Primary in Balerno:Teaching which opens up learning for us – ambition or reality?
There will then follow four exciting speakers: Ken Greer, Executive Director Education and Learning, Fife Council; Karen MacGregor, Headteacher of Queensferry Primary School; Stephen Quinn, Headteacher of Ardrossan Academy; and Professor Chris Chapman, Chair of Educational Policy & Practice, Glasgow University.
The venue will again be St George’s School for Girls in Edinburgh where we have enjoyed over recent years the excellent ambience and the delightful food. Doors will open at 5.30 pm for drinks and chat. The presentations will commence at 6.15 pm and the meal at 6.30 pm.
We are continuing our approach of offering a special deal on costs. Tickets are £20 each but if you come with a colleague who has not previously attended a SELMAS event, two tickets can be ordered for £30.
Order now before the last of the tickets disappear: simply let me know how many tickets you require and I will reserve your places and invoice you.
